IAC contribution to NRT published in the SPIE Proceedings

The contribution of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) to the New Robotic Telescope (NRT) was presented at SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation 2026, held in Copenhagen in July, and has now been published in the conference proceedings.

The paper, “IAC contribution to the New Robotic Telescope: an overview”, provides an overview of the work being carried out at the IAC as part of the development of NRT. The IAC is contributing to several key areas of the project, including the development of optical components, telescope control systems and instrumentation.

The work was presented at the conference by Juan Francisco Márquez-Rodríguez, from the IAC, as part of a programme bringing together researchers and engineers involved in the development of astronomical telescopes and instrumentation from around the world.

The publication provides an opportunity to share the progress and technical work being carried out within NRT with the wider astronomical instrumentation community.

Both the paper and a recording of the conference presentation are available through the SPIE Digital Library.
